Good ol' Compaq CQ50-139WM, won't take Win10 1903 update? (Solved with 1909 MCT USB stick)

VirtualLarry

No Lifer
Keeps displaying Downloading, gets to 100%, then does Installing, gets to 100%, then Downloading again, etc.

I know that it runs several download and install steps on an OS upgrade, but I've had this problem with big updates and prior OS updates, seems some are "too big", and continuously stress that poor single-core CPU, and I think that it may be overheating. Either way, it appears to be failing whatever checksum, and looping the process.

Edit: Solved. I said "screw it", make a 1909 MCT USB stick on my other PC, and rebooted this laptop, plugged in the MCT 1909 stick, and ran SETUP.EXE, followed the prompts from there, took a while (long while), first had a blue background screen (which was an overlay over my desktop), count up to 100%, then reboot, then blue screen with percentages counting up with a spinning circle in the middle, I went to sleep, woke up, it was booted into 1909 with IE open with new features depicted.

Success!

Did some more updates, Malwarebytes 4.04 scan, good to go I guess.
