I need to rip some tracks into mp3 (historical music from the 1900s) for a project.

Yup, EAC is the best for ripping. I usually rip into .wav and then encode the files with LAME.

I've Always Used CD 'n Go. I don't think it has any spyware :confused: . Anyways it contains several codecs some of which will rip straight to MP3 from the CD.
