I'll be getting the i7 6700k was wondering whats a decent cpu cooling with minimum noise (i hate loud fans). Budget under £100 if possible and if possible with LED funky lights :)

My MB is ASRock-Z170-Extreme4-Skylake

Thanks ^_^

We already answered your question about the best air coolers under a hundred - it's the same list for water. In that price range it's more the least crappy, less noisy CLC.

For Closed Loop Liquid coolers the choices are: Quiet, Cheap, Effective. Pick any 2.

Except you're not allowed to pick Quiet and Cheap - because... there are none.

The problem is that all the low cost CLCs use cheap aluminum high fpi rads that require high speed fans to provide decent cooling performance through the dense rad - the result is a noisy, annoying system that performs, hopefully as well as top tier air coolers while being 4-5 times louder - and 30-80% more expensive.

On a restricted budget, can't beat high quality air coolers. The Scythe Fuma is a small air cooler that costs less then $50 and performs within a degree of highend AIOs, like the EK Predator while being quieter - see review. Another low cost, but exceptional performing air cooler is the Thermalright Macho Direct - good enough for a reasonable OC on the 6700k. Or you could go with a large twin tower - Cryorig R1, Noctua D15 and still be under your budget with great cooling that's easy on your ears.

The only semi-low noise CLC I'm aware of is the 240mm Arctic Cooling CLC - it's a quieter due to the push/pull fan setup - which means it needs its space - it's 3.6" thick. It also has an iffy warranty and no funky leds. But, you can add funky leds on your own.

If you want minimum noise stay far away from the Corsair, Coolermaster CLCs - they are small leafblowers disguised as liquid coolers. What you really want is a high quality low fpi rad, decent block and a high quality, low noise pump - but that costs high end money - at least double your budget for starting a proper loop - see EK Predator / Swiftech 240/280 - they're pre-built all in one loops that can be expanded with your expanded budget.

Be Quiet's new AIOs are supposed to be rather quiet (duh, but reviews seem to corroborate this). Extra silent pump components and low-rpm fans. I think they're more than $100, though.
