today 5/27/09 we decommissioned our Ultra Enterprise 3000 running Solaris 7. Oh how we will miss thee iron rock of legend. 14 years of service, and only twice has it been down (due to power outages).

what did you do to replace the tweaked compliler? virtualization?
 
nothing. they're done with it so we were able to take the box offline. that stuff is a bit over my head so i really couldn't explain much more than that.
