Good news: I need root canal! Hooray!

It actually is good news, because I have some swollen lymph glands and the surgeon wants to do a biopsy. Biopsy is a scary word.

Fortunately (at least by comparison) I have a cracked tooth with abscesses and it's probably what's causing the lymph problems. Yay, I get to spend $1900 - no dental insurance - and get the joy of root canal on Thursday.

First time I was ever happy that the dentist found something expensive and nasty.

I get TWO root canals, 2 crowns, and 4 fillings in 2 weeks. I beat you!!

I had 3 done last year. 🙁

Fillings I'd gotten as a kid on my permanent teeth started to break down and crack. 🙁🙁

I had a root canal last year and I was glad to have it. My tooth was so sensitive and painful....the procedure only took about an hour, and it wasn't painful....and the relief was immediate.

Root canals have gotten a bad rap, maybe because they don't get done soon enough.

Good luck with yours! 🙂

holy crap! $1900 for a root canal? I just paid for one for my hubby.. $850.. and no insurance.

My brother-in-law needed dentures, and he went to Mexico for a month to vacation and to have his dental work done. Somewhere in the Yucutan. They liked it so much they're trying to buy a house and move there permanently.

Geez... I had 1 root canal, 1 crown, 1 tooth extraction and 2 fillings. Am I close second? (btw... I hate my teeth with a passion. I brush freaking 3 times a day and floss and they still do this)

By April, in the last year I will have had around 8 fillings, 1 root canal, and 3 crowns. Glad I have insurance.....

Oops, I forgot, I have to get at least 2 wisdom teeth removed..

OT: Bravo ran the West Wing eposide yesterday where CJ had a root canal and Josh had to do the press briefing. CJ kept saying "I haff to tell the Pwesident about the Pwess Bwiefing"!!

LoL ... ok, I'm done now ....

Well yeah that sucks for you, but look at it this way, imagine how much better you'll be after all that crap is fixed.

The only major dental work I've had done was removing a baby tooth that wouldn't come out and was preventing the perm teeth from coming in years ago. And that wasn't major at all.

No cavities or any other problems since 72.

In other news, I recommend the sonicare line of toothbrushes as my teeth have never been better since getting one although it took some getting used to the 1st few days. Though I think my nice teeth are more due to genetics than anything else so I guess I got lucky in that regard anyway. So neener neener neeener!
