not sure if anyone has posted this, but I contacted the US distributer for sapphire today
all sapphire, FIC, and Powercolor (maybe others?) cards are made by ATI, none of these companies have yet to produce their own cards. Should you buy oem and recieve, say, a sapphire cd, its because ATI ran out of theirs and made the respective companies create their own. This also means that cards by sapphire, Powercolor, and FIC are fully warranted by ATI. If you go thru the company, say, powercolor, they actually recieve their rma's from ATI. Its a mute point.
