Where do I start? The bad: The modem I borrowed doesn't work so I can't use my free AOL account for a week and I won't have DSL access until next week. Well now I don't have to use AOL so is it really bad...?

Surprised was I when I pulled up to Compusa just now and saw a new hummer. SHOCKED was I when about 5 minutes later driving down the road I encountered a bright yellow brand new (well not the latest gen - but very new) yellow lamborghini. Damn me! The only other time I've ever seen one was years ago it was an old red one. I had to clean my car seats after. Sorry no pics :(

New apartment in birmingham is nice but because of no internet I'm at kinkos now. Oh well.

heheh AOL.

don't sign up for it. regardless of how quickly you close your account they will hound you to reopen it. usually during rush hour when you're trying to drive, which also eats up your limited number of daytime minutes :disgust:

Is it just me, or are the new Hummers a little to fancy schmancy? It looks like they're trying to compete with the new Escalades.... :|

You shouldn't sweat it. All of us need to go through a little internet detox now and then. After a few hours of withdrawal you realize you really don't miss it that much (especially if you can find a good book).

It is rather inconvenient, but nothing that can't be lived through. ;)

I see a couple hummers every week here in Central FL. I've also seen quite a few Ferraris and Lambos driving around... rich bastards that live in Winter Park :|:p

I generally see a couple dozen of them every day. They build the Hummers in my town, and the people around here are very loyal ;)

Brooks,

I just noticed that you were posting from a Kinko's. I don't remember what their rates are, but if memory serves me, they are rather expensive for online access at slow-decent speeds (this is in Seattle-area).

Here's a local net cafe you might want to check out.

offering DSL access, an 80" TV, 4 terminals, NIC hookups for laptops, full service bar, 50 bottled beers, wine, coffee and tea, leather chairs, outdoor patio overlooking the birmingham country club gold course, live music thurs, fri, and sat nights. very very posh and high tech.

Sounds like a nice place to me, anyway. :)
