Good new rock songs...

monk3y

I haven't listened to anything new in the past few months... I'm a fan of Alice in Chains, TooL, Guns N Roses, APC, Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden... I can't find any new rock bands that I like so I've been listening to more metal. Just wondering if anyone knows a band/song I might get into.

Dope, Atreyu, Norma Jean, 36 CrazyFists, Clutch*, Down, BLS**

Some less than heavy ones with good tones: Shinedown, Audioslave.

*a little different but I like em
**black label society

I have more, but I'm not at home so I can't see my playlist...if your hard up go to
road runner records

Isn't that concept something of an oxymoron?

Not really, you have to realize that as time progresses things change...Imagine if country and western music was still the same as it was 20 years ago, or if Pop had never truly emerged and evolved as it has, and what about rap...there has been major evolution in that. Rock is merely the same way. New bands today are taking what they know to be rock and making it there own, which is what bands like Tool and Alice in Chains did.

That low overture could easily be replaced with "you're right," you know.

The "edit" button should be on your lower left😀

Bolded ones are what I consider good. Don't listen to all that much 00's metal though...

I am suprised of all the love for Clutch. Their most recent album rocks. Elephant Riders is still my favorite.
