I've been looking because I can't afford much but everything seems to be way too expensive. Of course, browsing Hot Deals for a little while usually fixes that problem but I've been stuck on this one for a good two months.

Looking for something name-brand @ 430 or more watts. Enermax, PC Power and Cooling, Antec (TruPower), etc (Something trusted and with a warranty). Preferably under 50w and nothing second-hand (Had bad luck with that). The cheapest acceptable Antec and Enermax PSUs I could find both lack PFC. Is that OK?

Basically, the file server will have 7 hard drives and, if wattage permits, a DVD-ROM or DVD burner I have lying around.

It will not have a sound card but will be using expansion cards for just about everything (No integrated Gigabit or Fast Ethernet, graphics, firewire, wireless, sound, etc).

Although it's made with the older slower hardware, a Williamette 1.3GHz P4 with 512MB PC800 RDRAM on a bare-bones D850GB probably consumes more power than a 533FSB Northwood P4.

You can save money by going with a lower wattage PS. 350W would be plenty. I ran 6 HD's on a standard Antec 300W PS for quite a while.
