Yeah, CCR is nice. I also like Boston, Chicago, Styx, and AC/DC (though I don't think they're exactly from that time period). Also the other day I heard a song by Blue Oyster Cult that I liked.

I grew up in the 80s (and did high school college in the 90s) but the 60s and 70s are far and away (IMO) the best decades of music. Too many groups to list. If you like CCR and that sort of Southern grunge sound you might like the Allman Bros. and Lynrd Skynrd.

You mean like AC/DC? Yeah, they're great.

BTW, for specific songs, here are a few good ones (imho)...

Boston - More Than a Feeling, Peace of Mind, Don't Look Back
Styx - Come Sail Away, Lords of the Ring, The Grand Illusion

and a few more that I like (not necessarily what you're looking for though ;))...

AC/DC - Back in Black, For Those About to Rock
Metallica - Enter Sandman

:D

If you want to know what a *real* 70's rock n roll is like, download Ted Nugent's Double Live Gonzo album in MP3 format. ( 2 volumes)

Foreigner and REO Speedwagon are that time period as well. Also, can't forget Dire Straits. And if you like CCR, look into some of John Fogerty's solo stuff.
