My radioshack doesn't have what I'm looking for and I'm stumped - I need an apapt. that can do 7.4v and I believe 1100ma's... I'm not sure about the MA because it's not listed but the battery (it's for a camcorder) is listed as 1100ma... Clueless here.. I called samsung about a replacement adapter and they want $98.. The camcorder is worth $189 so it's not worth it.. Any ideas? Thanks!

The camera is a Samsung scd67 - I need the power cord and NOT the charger - that's easy to come by..

7.4V is an odd voltage. if you're good with circuits, finding a trimmable regulated supply design is quite easy using a 3 terminal regulator, and a few other parts.

The manual says DC 8.4 volts, so a 9V 1000mA adapter will probably work fine.

GE makes one:

GE AV93600 Universal DC Battery Eliminator

Permits the Use of Equipment such as Radios, Portable CD Players, Small B&W TVs, etc.

1200mA for Equipment Requiring 3-12 volts

Universal DC Battery Eliminator $14.98
