I have a AMD X2 6000 dual core system, 2gigs ram. WinXP.
My current video card: ATI Radeon 2600 pro + Geforce 6200 pci.
i have 3 22" monitors (1920x1080).

I want to get back into PC gaming. I used to be a big RTS player, but Havent played a PC game since Age Of Empires III.

I quit because it was the same thing:
Gather REsources, build

but i heard about multi-monitors.

What are some Good multi-monitor games? (2 monitors is fine.)
And which cheap video card to get?

the ATI 5000 series cards support Eyefinty which can handle 3 or more monitors.

Does Eyefinity support spanning across two monitors?

If so, then it's worth it because basically any RTS can be spanned across two monitors. Usually it doesn't matter too much where the break is since they aren't centrally focused unlike FPS/Action games.

I did dual monitor Rome: Total War and Europa Universalis on my 7800GT in Win XP when you could span across two monitors as a single res (2560x1024 on dual 17").
If Eyefinity can do it across two as well then it's basically the same thing, but will work on newer cards and across more operating systems (since span apparently doesn't work on Vista and possibly 7).
Also I dunno if the span mode works on newer NV cards since the last I had was my 7800GT.

Eyefinity is an ATI feature that will span a game across as many displays as you have (up to 6 with a special card that has 6 Displayports and 6 Displayport monitors).
