you can never go wrong with a neuros Neuros Site They have way more features, and are at least 1/2 the cost. Ive had mine for a year and it has always served me well, the built in FM transmitter is especially nice!

get one with less buttons, like an ipod. Seriously, I want my player to have SIMPLE buttons. The ipod's volume controller is good looking and very adaptable. Not to mention their buttons require human flesh to complete the circuit so you can't bump into something and it'll press a butotn.

Something about the "human flesh requirement" creeps me out.

iriver is the best in the market IMO. don't waste your money on something that's known to die within a year or two.

go for the neuros, it has the most features built in backed by a lifetime warranty and monthly firmware updates... Theres always something new they are adding to it. And they are currently woroking a new version that used 1.8 HDDs that will use the same player. Its also good if you have TONS of music because of the removable backpack. You can have infinated numbers of 20, 30 40 50 60 70 or 80 gig backpacks, and just plug the player in em and go. I always use it, and get great battery life, even when transmitting to FM. I highly reccomend it, and they are very innexpensive.

One problem with the neuros... its heavy and huge, well almost double the weight of the ipod or iriver, and its thick... get the iriver h120 16 hours of battery life, tonnes of cool features... looks nicer than ipod in my opinion.

Here's a vote for the Rio Nitrus.... Great little MP3 player, cheap too, even though I never got my rebate for it :frown:

Second. I love my iRiver iHP-120. However... that nueros looks sexy, I wish I saw that a couple months ago ><
