Good Mobo for overclocking Tualatin

Hi, I am thinking of geting myself a Celeron Tualatin 1.0Ghz and trying to overclock it to 1.5Ghz..what Mobo would be good for that? I would like to get a smaller Mobo for i can build a small case for it...oh one more thing is it ture that a P3 Tualatin can take on a P4? If so how will do the P3 Tualatin overclock?

You're a little late.

Do a "search" on current threads in this forum using my name as author. I got lots of good suggestions. I just got the Soyo Tualatin MB for $40 (shipping and tax for $54 total). I'll let you know how it o/c's. Right now my 1.2Ghz Celeron is at 1.5Ghz with a PowerLeap adapter on a BX board with default voltage.

A 1.0 (probably) won't make 1.5Ghz. The 1.1 or 1.2 most likely will with the 1.2 having an outside chance at 1.6 (133 FSB) which I am aiming for.

A 133FSB/1.6Ghz Celeron should be a pretty good match for a 1.8Ghz P4 or a 1.4Ghz Athlon. There are no guarantees with o/c'ing - my old 1.2Ghz Tualatin from 10 months ago was a DOG (1.24Ghz max o/c).

I have just gotten 1.0A and run Sandra at 1.6GHz on 160Mhz bus on Asus TUV4X (1.575V I think).

CPU Arithmetic
Dhystone ALU 4404 MIPS
Whetstone FPU 2150 FLOPS

CPU Multi-Media
Integer iSSE 8494 it/s
Floating-Point iSSE: 10310 it/s

These scores are almost right in a middle of the reference Athlon XP 1800+ and XP 2000+ scores.

XP 1800+
Dhystone ALU 4240 MIPS
Whetstone FPU 2124 FLOPS
Integer iSSE 8530 it/s
Floating-Point iSSE: 9455 it/s

XP 2000+
Dhystone ALU 4611 MIPS
Whetstone FPU 2310 FLOPS
Integer iSSE 9276 it/s
Floating-Point iSSE: 10280 it/s

I am pretty amazed how fast this $50 Celeron has turned out to be.
