ok guys i have a about 2 years old shity stock mobo (served me well tho), with 800 FSB.

but upgraded it with a hd3870 with stock clocks of: core clock 800, memory clock of 2250, but OC'd to 850/2275.
also i added 400/533 ram to it a long time ago, so i have a total of 1.5gigs of ram but with slow ass clocks and latancies.
i still have the stock cpu of 3.0ghz, one core.

wen i upgraded from the x1900 to the hd3870 i thot its gona rip everytin up, but to my surprise it didnt give me the awsome boost i was expecting. i did some research and found out dat pretty every tin in my comp, the cpu and the mobo were bottlenecking my card like a big dick in a small asshole. so i decided to buy a new mobo and cpu, i researched my ass off and came to the conclusion of getting the core 2 duo E8400. but i am stil stumped as to which mobo to get.

i do know dat i want the mobo to be atleast 1333 FSB, pci-express 2.0. but i still dont know wether to go with DDR3 or DDR2 ram compatibility. if i go with DDR3, its gna be 1333mhz ram, if i go with DDR2 its gna be 1066mhz ram. so help me out there.

i do have couple i mobos in mind: MSI P45 Neo-F, msi p45 diamond, asus p5e3 deluxe/wifi, and intel boxdx3bbt.

btw im running xp, with 1280x1024 res, and for stats sake i want crysis to run with atleast 25 fps, everythin high

I would go with a budget P45 board since you want PCI-e 2.0. Something like the Gigabyte EP45-DS3L or one of those MSI boards if they're not too pricey. No reason to spend more than about $130 from what I can tell. Also, unless you're overclocking, DDR2-1066 isn't going to do anything for you. Much better off sticking with the less expensive DDR2-800. Even if you are overclocking, DDR2-1000 offers the headroom of DDR2-1066 at the price of DDR2-800.
