Good Microphones

Can anyone recommend me a good inexpensive microphone for gaming without the headset?

how do they sound? good quality?

The mic itself has decent enough sound quality. However it compresses my voice really weirdly in mumble compared to some others that I have used. It may just be my voice however. In windows sound recorder it sounds great.

I use the zalman mic with my grado rs80s. Works great, my clanmates say my mic quality is great.
