I need some microphone that can make my voice sound more clear and detailed. What is a good microphone? Should I go for a Dynamic, Condenser, or Lavalier if I'm just going to record voice.

i don't know much about mics, but when i have used windows media encoder and did a screen capture scene to explain how to do stuff, my cheap altec lansing headphone/mic sounded exceptionally good. i think you will be fine with whatever you choose.

again, this is just my personal experience for an extremely cheap setup.

If you're looking for a quality studio mic then I would first read some literature on microphones to find out the difference between the different types of condenser mics. But that woudl be what you want, a condenser mic. You're going to have to make sure you have a good sound card though, preferably one that has 1/4" inputs, you will also have to purchase an adapter cable for the mic so that it will go to 1/4". You might be able to find an adapter that goes to 1/8" but I'm not sure.

Some good microphone manufacturers are Shure, Neumann, Sennheiser, AKG and Audio-Technica. You can usually find good deals on Ebay and since mics are meant to last a long time you don't have to go with the latest and greatest.
