Hey all i'm looking for a DESKTOP micro atx case that has at least 4 FULL SIZED PCI slots, black, and very very small dimensions (5.1" is the smallest height for to enable full sized PCI cards. My searches so far have turned up the IWin D500N, a case from Avance case (BL6004), and A-Top AT777, but none has exactly the features i'm looking for. I really want the black color and look of the Avance, the 4xPCI slots like the D500N and small form factor PS, with the extremely small size LxW of the AT777. So, I was wondering if anyone knows about a case :) Oh and I can't afford to shell out $200 on an aluminum Lian Li or Coolermax, thanks.

You are better off going for a regular atx desktop for a couple reasons.

They are just a little bigger so you can fit all your pci cards in there

They is a much wider variety of REGULAR atx cases

They are pretty cheap

Its easy to find a black one.

Edit: either that just get the inwin and paint it black. Be skillful and do it your self. :)

Happy hunting.

Under normal circumstances I would take a full sized ATX Desktop model but these are not normal circumstances. You see this is a 2nd computer and since space in appt/room is limited to my desk I need something with about the same small size as my computer monitor as it will be sitting under it, and since the desk I use is not the best for computers (i.e. not deep) I can't pull the desk out or else the computer and monitor will have it's back corners off the edge of the desk.

I also don't want to just throw another tower next to my other comp because it would just plain look like $h!t.

I am aware of the very small grey/white/black desktop case from directon and am seriously considering it but if anyone knows any other that would be great.

thanks optimistic, I ended up going with the YY-120A Charcoal Grey, I'm throwing a P4 1.5 (my old one) with an ECS mATX board that supports SDR PC133 and DDR PC333 for a future upgrade, since I got some PC133 for free recently and it's cool i'm going with it for now. The mobo also has integrated SiS graphics to hold me over till I get a new Vid Card as my Gainward GF2 Ti 64MB Golden Sample still makes my games look plenty purdy on my 'main' machine.

Did you get it yet? PSU fan on the A101 was kinda loud when I bought it last year. But it's easy to replace the fan. Get your favorite 60mm fan and strip the wire ends and connect it according to color to the wires were the old fan was.

Sorry forgot to mention:|

The case fan on most of these suggested cases is 60mm so if you buy the InWin L545 from Directron, go in the Case Fans section and click on
the "60mm" category, and get the Sunon Magnetic Levitation fan. In the "Vapo" bearing system, the shaft never touches the sides of the bearing. Longer life time than most ball-bearing 60mm fans. Good CFM and OK noise level.
