I know Allo Allo. Trust me.

But no matter who is doing it, a compilation of 50 'good moanings' is not funny. You should have chosen some better videos. Though he does sound like Clouseau.

I agree. The good "meuning" is not enough for justification.
I will add a funniest scenes compilation.

Clouseau , I truly miss great actors like Peter Sellers.
Or the nutty professor with Jerry Lewis.

Other actors such as actors with great expressions like Louis de Funès (AKA Louis funneh). For example Berny Mac had great facial expression but unfortunately he always sweared so much :(.

Has nothing on Hogan's Heroes.

EDIT: Has nothing on Heil Honey I'm Home, for that matter. The British are such failures of comedy.

Allo Allo was fantastic. "i was just pissing by your door..."

I grew up with it and was only talking about it yesterday with a colleague. We both agree that modern comedies just don't scale the same heights as the old classics. Fawlty Towers was of course the best there's ever been. Mash was pretty awesome too though!

I must have the wrong Hogan's heroes. I am still waiting for it to get funny.

Heil Honey I'm Home, i do not get it either. It is just nagging and whining actors. No real enjoyment, just people earning their salary.

The Hitler character from "Inglourious Basterds " from Quentin Tarantino with Brad Pitt was a lot more funny and amusing.

I guess this is a case of personal humor. But there is no need to claim the British can not make comedies. It is obvious you are on the defense for some reason, i do not know why. It is a gut feeling... ^_^

Gah, hated it.

The best British sitcoms are (in no particular order):

Fawlty Towers
The Office
Blackadder
I'm Alan Partridge
Only Fools and Horses
Yes Minister / Prime-minsiter
Porridge
Father Ted
Peep Show
Spaced

Very Close to Top 10:

Black Books
The Inbetweeners
Green Wing

That Hogan's episode is hilarious. Obviously you're stoned right now like any filthy Dutchman would be, and the superior story writing of Hogan's Heroes goes over your head as you clench your belly laughing hysterically over crude 80's decadence.

EDIT: And yes, Heil Honey is total garbage too.

EDIT #2: But since you picked out a random section of an episode, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that the nine minute portion did not allow you to fully grasp the depth of the show. Watch the pilot (which explains the brilliance within) and say it's not funny.

I guess, i struck a vagus nerve.

You need to live more. There is a whole world out there that is beautiful without the need for any kind of psycho stimulants other then once in while a nice cup of coffee or tea. Coffee. The proper replacement for alcohol when used in a diet with enough fruit and vegetables. The coffee bean made it's widespread appearance through (then known)Arabia around the sixth to the tenth century AD and from there on to countries in Europe and other countries around the world. Originally from Ethiopia it seems.

You need to watch more Bernie Mac or Louis de funés.

I think "the thick of it" is the best sitcom I've ever seen, but you really need to know quite a bit about British politics and our news media to get the jokes.

edit: they are making a US version called Veep which I expect will be pretty good
