Any brand name Krap (uh Kraft) or like BBQ sauce is fine... With most chicken I just wash and drain in large bowl then apply good seasoning (around here and nowhere else is Texjoy steak seasoning its da bomb) and then dump about a half bottle of BBQ sauce like hickory or (mix it up good with the meat)...? Be sure to cook it slowly and keep a little BBQ sauce on hand so you can baste it twards the end of cooking... Dont over cook it or it will be dry just wait for the juices to start coming out then the last few min baste and crank the heat up, which help seal the BBQ sauce to the meat...

Check it out...

BBQ as in, a smoker, or grilled chicken?

Use thighs. More tolerant of overcooking, more moisture, more flavor. If you have to use breasts, get skin on/bone in. Don't overcook - use a thermometer to whatever temperature you're comfortable with.

As far as sauce goes, it's probably your best bet to go buy a few that sound good and taste them. Most commercial sauces are going to be mostly sugar anyway, so read the labels if you're looking for something different. If you happen to live in the northeast, or don't need it right now, I really love Stonewall Kitchens' sauces. All of them that I've tried. Honey BBQ, Maple Chipotle, and Garlic Peanut are all in my fridge right now. Totally worth the price.

Use Sweet Baby Rays.

Don't add sauce until last few minutes of cooking.
