It's OVERRRR!!!!! :beer::beer::beer:

did you take it?

what did you think?

Yup, I took it. Overall wasn't too bad. I didn't like the innervation of the nerves in bio, though. The rest was manageable.

Dr. Nick?

my friend got destroyed... he got a 24. He said he got a 34 on his first practice test. That has got to be the worst drop from 1st diagnostic to real thing in history.

I didn't think it was that bad, although I did not enjoy spending half a day taking a test.

I hope everyone got the scores they were seeking, and good luck on your applications to medical school.

Where are some of you guys looking to go to medical school?

whats the maximum score?

45T

The maximum on the multiple choice sections is a 15 and the writing section is read by two people who give a score up to a 6. The 2 scores are added together and the score is indicated by a letter. T is a 12.

I should also mention that I think the averages for the multiple choice sections are around 9.

anything above 30 will get you into medical school.

30/45 sounds bad, but its top 20% of all people that take the test.

SLU MD <-had to go through it a couple yrs ago, man that sucked.

National averages for each section out of 15 are a little above 8, not 9. Average of people who make it into med school are around 9.5. A 30 is a very solid score, and should be competitive at most mid-tier schools. The writing section is basically a worthless time filler and medical schools don't weigh that score very heavily in the application.

BTW, I'm applying to Texas schools right now. It's damn nice to live in Texas if you want to go to into medicine. We have 8 medical schools with some of the lowest tuitions in the country (~7500) compared to 20K+ for out of state or private schools. Plus they are required by law to take 90% in state preference in admissions.
