Good lord this is hideous... Camaro Convertible donkmobile

These are no more ridiculous to me than the uber jacked up trucks with mudders and stacks.

Certainly not my style, but Different Strokes and what what.

Side note: Anyone have any idea how much something like that would cost? (The vehicle in the OP). Just curious, cause that looks like it would be a pretty expensive undertaking.

Oh sweet jesus that's awesome. It's a Hot Wheels.

(no, I don't mean it has big wheels and is probably stolen...okay, well...I don't just mean that.)

edit: I mostly blame GM for those absurd wheel wells.

What's sad is they still cut the wheel wells even larger to fit those... things. And don't hit a bump as there is no suspension travel.

People can do to their vehicles what they want, but that doesn't change the fact that it is still hideous.

Who would buy a used mattress? :hmm:

People who spent all their money on uglifying their cars.

 I totally agree with you there.

I'm not a fan of jacked up trucks, but at least those can serve a purpose. This is just retarded, and I'm sure barely functions as car.

Oh, I see it now. Still, that's pretty minimal...all I can see cut is the front bumper below the side marker light.

It's not 'tucked' by any means, LOL. But for as retarded and ugly as it is, it shows a lot more effort than a Caprice with 24" of body lift.

Here's an interesting question...how much money do you figure someone has in that car? I'm guessing 5-10k in the wheels and tires. Plus the paint, a new top, probably new interior...everything aestetic has been altered. It's probably a V6 car...and it's probably into non-basemodel Corvette money. Maybe used Ferrari 360 or something.

WHY?

About the car pictured, I think you may find it's a 2013 ZL1 convertible that's been "done", either that or that nose was grafted on.

I refer to this:

http://www.chevrolet.com/camaro-zl1-convertible.html

Same hood scoop, same front end. Either that is a ZL1 convert in Jules' pic or the owner did a bit of conversion work.

Either way, while I think the look can get so excessive it borders the edge of vulgarity, there's a lot of work and money involved.

We have those all around here with old Impalas and Caprices being the favorites, but the treatment is done on darned near anything that'll drive.

What I truly do not understand, tho, are the cars with a "theme" to them, usually commercial products. I've seen Lemon Head, Frosted Flakes, Tony the Tiger, Hawaiian Punch, and many others. Wonder why? And Wonder Bread!

meh I never see stuff like this, it probably wouldn't be street legal here because of those wheels.
I don't see the point in wasting money to make something tacky and not comfortable to use anyway.

He'll have the last laugh....
