GOOD LORD...The New World is the worst movie EVAR!

It's pretty damn bad. I rented it last week. Nothing like the previews made it out to be. There goes a few bucks 😉 Slow, uneventful, and just plain boring.

For those that didn't like it, did you like the Thin Red Line? Terrence Mallick did both movies, and everyone complains about how boring TTRL was but I love it. One of my favorite movies. I haven't seen The New World though, is it on dvd?

I heard it was really good, but more of an art-film type thing, and not the Colin Farrelll blockbuster it was advertised as.

When the general ATOT consensus is "slow and boring", that usually means "I actually liked 2Fast2Furious". I'm going to have to see this movie.

OK I read some of the reviews on imdb and looks like I will probably enjoy this movie. "Sh1tty and boring" to you probably just means it is not some cheese laden Spielbug pos. 😛

I passed on this one knowing it was the same director who did Thin Red Line and hearing he went for style over substance once again. That movie sucked and it was a war story. This is a love story so it's gotta be 10 times worse.

Put it this way...

My best friend and I usually go see 1-2 movies per week at the theaters. HUGE movie fans.

The ONLY movies I have fell asleep at the theaters were Vanity Fair and The New World.

WAYYYYYYYYY to cheesy, tries to hard, moves too slow (and it's a long movie!). Would not recommend to my enemy.

I kept waiting for the movie to get good but it was just a long boring waste of time :|

Do I know you? I just watched it last night too and I want those hours of my life back. Cinematography and locations were good, but I guess they played hookie from film school the day they were teaching everything about plots.

It's definitely slow, but I liked it... Not something I'd want to watch over and over again, but I was definitely glad I watched it.
