Anyone in Las Vegas know of a good, reliable muffler shop? There are so many of them here and it's hard to find one that won't screw you over and mess up your car.
I just need to have my muffler painted.
I bought some VHT "Very High Temperature / FlameProof" flat black spray paint to do my muffler. I only bought one can though. I hope that's enough. All I want to paint is the bulbous part and all of the pipe from there to the tip.
Just a little problem though. I'll have to bring it to a shop to have them do it because I don't have the tools to remove the muffler. Also, the instructions for the VHT paint says:
After paint is dry it must be cured to substantially increase the durability of the finish and enhance chemical resistance.
Bake painted part at 250F for 30 minutes then let cool for 30 minutes. Bake at 400F for 30 minutes then let cool for 40 minutes. Finally, bake at 600F for 30 minutes and let cool for 30 minutes.
I don't have an oven big enough to fit the muffler either.
