Good LA/OC Restaurants?

My sister is going to prom and needs a restaurant for her group. North Orange County: Whittier, La Habra, La Mirada, Fullerton, Anaheim. Preferably in one of those cities or no more than one city over. Budget is average of $30 / person, no desert. Available vegetarian entrees would be nice. Asian food would be a plus.

She's considering Cat & the Custard Cup, the Cellar is too expensive, and Summit House is too generic.

orang county mining co. is an excellent prom restaurant. so is the summit house. (anaheim hills/fullerton respectively)

McDonald's.

Don't tell me you haven't seen that commercial with this one guy taking his date out to McDonald's?! 😀

Try La Vie en Rose in Brea. It's just off Imperial and State College. Excellent french food. Very good, classy, and not too expensive ($25-30/entree). It's a good prom place.

Edit: If its a group, reserve the Blue Room (separate room inside the restaurant) ahead of time. Very nice for special occasions. Pretty sure it doesn't cost any extra.

Ah I forgot about La Vie en Rose, that one woulda been perfect but she says half of them are going their a week later w/ French club. Go figure.

And yeah, Downtown Disney restaurants are not a very good bang for the buck IMO.

Does anyone know the name of that nice Italian restaurant in Diamond Bar?
