Not possible, because we have to check if you are already subscribed . there are some things we just can't do when you aren't logged in. I.e customize, profile all of that is not going to work for users who can't login.

Good job with adding the login box when you reply to a message saves a few steps for the ultra busy!
One question/suggestion though...Is it possible that when you login to reply to a thread, you can actually stay logged in?
I have tried it a few times and after you login to reply, your message is posted but you need to actually login again....?

We are adding a checkbox for that request, the feature was put in there for those very few people who can't / don't want to use cookies, so we didn't want to set a cookie for that reason. But the checkbox will allow you to set the cookie and stay logged in for that session. People who dont check it or dont login through the normal method, can't do anything but post,reply and edit their own messages. Profile, customize, privatemessaging all that will never be available to those who can't login.
