good japanese horror??? (updated with list)

Ringu 1/2/0 was neat, as were the rest of nakata's flicks (best was Dark Water). Now I need more! Please list good (recent, none of that late 80s crap) japanese horror flicks you've seen-

I dunno about Japanese...but there's a chinese scary movie that I REFUSE to watch (ok..i refuse to watch ANY scary movies..)

It's called The Eye. Sorta like the sixth sense but way scarier (or so I was told). Yep.

The Ring is the american remake of Ringu. Japanese chick (sadako) in ringu 0 was far hotter than american scary girl (who's name escapes me).

Anywho, we can make this chinese as well. I recently saw "the eye" which kicked some serious ass as well. Much scarrier than american horror. (wow, beat me to it)

 
there was a trailer posted somewhere in OT for a pretty recent (2003) japanese flick that looked kind of like ringu/the eye (a dead child I think), anyone remember that?

i think there doing an ameriacan version of "The Eye" i cant wait 🙂 love horror movies
 
You could go watch Audition. Not exactly horror but it'll make you real nervous for a while.

Battle Royale is also good, though not so much horror as gore and violence.
 
Kwaidan is an older compilation of Japanese scary childrens tales. Low budget effects, but I thought was interesting.
 
My friend hates it when people call it Ringu. He's always like "You realize that Ringu is just a bad Japanese translation of Ring don't you?" 🙂

is this about a guy who had his eye replaced, but the eye came from a person who can see dead people???

it's a girl, but yes.
 
a lot of chinese flicks come subtitled but i cannot seem to find a place that rents out japanese film with subtitles. anyone can recommend a chain or specific place in los angeles?

don't know LA, but in general, chinese places that rent out dvds/vcds usually stock a good supply of japanese flicks that have english subs.
