Good Intel CPU for file/application server?

I'm looking at upgrading my five year old home file and application server. I'd like an Intel CPU, quad-core, preferably with ECC support. Doesn't have to support an outrageous amount of RAM, as I'll probably have just 8 or 16 GB.

What are the current CPU and chipset candidates?

Any of the entry Xeon 12xxV3 series combined with a Supermicro X10 C226 S1150 motherboard. I believe ending in a 5 such as 1225v3 still denotes onboard graphics. The X10 has a basic graphics chip but I mention it in case you want to do something like Quicksync encode on the server.

Thanks. Are there any other benefits beyond ECC support that these entry level Xeon server CPUs offer?

Yes, I should have mentioned that I do need onboard graphics.

If you want to use the HD graphics on the xeon 12x5 series you'll need to get a C226 version of the Supermicro X10 line.
