Good IM Server for Small Businesses?

Can anyone recommend an IM client/server application (hopefully cheap) for small businesses? The public IM networks are insecure and Jabber looks expensive. I thought ACDSee used to sell one but it looks like they cancelled it.

Thanks!

I use CryptChat at work... it's peer-to-peer, no server needed. And in case the name wasn't obvious enough, it's encrypted.

How is Jabber expensive when it's open? There's many clients and servers to choose from, some are commercial but some are also GPL (and probably other free licenses).

Sorry, I thought Jabber was commercial only. CryptChat looks interesting. Can anyone else chime in on this product? Thanks.

Jabber is expensive? It's opensource. It's a great system, every company i've worked with that has had an IM system, has used Jabber.

I've used jabber at a previous place of employment. It was pretty easy to use, but I didn't set it up or anything.
