I came across a 2001 BMW 330 ci with 95k miles on it. The owner wants 12.5k for it. I am a newbie with BMW cars. Is this a good deal?
 
I don't know if that's a good price or not, but be prepared to pay a few grand in maintenance on top of that. Take it to a good mechanic and see what they say before you commit to anything.

Edit:
A quick glance at Autotrader shows that that is about what that car should go for - you could probably talk him down a little, especially if it needs any work.
