Good HT system for ~$300?

I know this prolly belongs in ATHD but I figure I'd ask the many OTers for their opinions on what's out there.

Yeah, it isn't much money but I'm helping a family friend with the purchase and the Onkyo 6.1 deal would have been just right but it's gone now anywho

Was looking at the Panasonic SC-HT95 or Pioneer HT-D520DV at overstock... doesn't seem like a bad deal but doesn't seem that great either.
I was also thinking about the HTS650 from shoponkyo...

What do you guys recommend?

Onkyo HTS 650 theatre package I think is 370 refurb from clubonkyo.com there is nothing that comes close.

I'm pretty sure that it doesn't count as a "theater" be it a home theater or otherwise, if it doesn't include a device for watching movies. Typically, in a home theater, this is a TV. I don't think you can't buy a very good TV for $300.
