What are some good chairs that you guys have?

This topic seems to always be left out. We buy $3000 computers and $1000 LCDs but end up with a $50 desk and $50 POS chair. I finally got a good modular desk and now I am looking for a high end chair that I will use for a long time. I figured since I buy a new chair every 8-10 months for $50-100, why not invest in something that is ergonomic and good for the body? I bought a Dell 2001FP when they were close to $1000 because I wanted to give my eyes a little break since I stare at the PC for prolonged periods. I guess when I am staring I am also sitting, but on a POS crappy chair that is probably not good for my posture... I know it's sad how we tend to ignore some of the finer points.

So, I am thinking about Herman Miller Aeron or Mirra.

Mirra and Aeron I can get fully loaded for ~$600-700

They also have a new one called Cella, but I can't find much pricing info or reviews on that one.

those are some pretty slick chairs......wouldnt spend such a budget on a chair, but you definately make a good point in spending some extra cash on a good chair (mine cost about $200).......in the end your ass will love you for buying a quality chair :D

try best buy or office depot, they usually have nice leather high-back lumbar support executive chairs for $200 and less, and you can sit in it to test it out and drive home with it.

I got a nice chair from Best Buy. It's leather, has very good lumbar support and a high back. Very comfortable. Cost less than $200.

I've had 2 Aerons for about 8 years now, and I LOVE the chairs. There's no real noticeable signs of wear, they're extremely comfortable, and they're worth the price, imo.

My vote for the Aeron.

Property disposition for the win!

P.S. I got one of my chairs at Office Max and I love it. I too am in desparate need of a new one from my current one being a property dispo chair. I like that Aeron. The violet Mirra doesn't appeal at all to me.
