Good headset under $50?

I'm trying to replace my shitty altec lansing speakers entirely. My left speaker has died on my completely and the sound quality is garbage now

I've been looking into some Logitech and Turtlebeach offerings but havent really decided on anything yet. I'd prefer a headset that works on both xbox360 and PC, and has a decent microphone too.

Any suggestions?

If you want both PC and XBOX then Turtle beach is the way to go for that price range.
