Good headset review sites?

I've been browsing for a new headset and it's so hard to narrow down which ones are actually good given only min and max frequency ranges. I also don't understand why more expensive headphones top out at 20 Khz while cheaper ones may go up to 22 Khz. Anyone know of a good site that reviews headsets for audio quality? Also taking recommendations on headset (with mic).

Go to the Head-fi forum and specify your needs (and budget). Most members will be more than happy to inundate you with quality recommendations.

The first thing you should learn about headphones/headsets in general is that the specifications they give on the back are total bullshit. The human ear can only hear from around 22kHz down to around 30Hz, and that's best-case scenario. Those numbers are useless in determining sound quality.

Unfortunately the only way to get an idea of what is good and what isn't is to read reviews done by people who have heard lots of headphones (i.e. none of this "i havent herd other headphones but deez skullcandies are the bomb man i can hear so good" crap). Head-Fi is pretty much the main website to find reviews; just do searches there. You probably don't need to post a new thread, there are hundreds of posts by people just like you.
