I'm thinking of getting some headphones, to be used for gaming and listening to music. I've heard the Grado SR80's are the best bang for the buck at $95. Anyone have any recomendations. And will this be good for surround sound in games? Thanks

Thanks, apparently I was only searching in this forum but I found some good threads in the off topic forum. I think I'm gonna go with the v6's but I can't seem to find them anywhere, not at j and r, or cnet, or mysimon, or dealtime, or pricewatch, or headphone.com.......

It doesn't really matter if they're old does it? I've heard that these are the best for gaming and they're a closed design which is good so I don't annoy my roommate. I read all this on recent posts aswell.

Well I've found them at a couple stores so that shouldn't be a problem. Thanks a lot for the tips guys.

I love my HD495's.

They're nice, but I gave my pair to a friend and bought myself a pair of 570's, I like the closed style more than superaural.

I like closed design as well, but I cannot afford it. :( I'd also have to get
a new amp.

EDIT: (Hey! 969 posts! :D)

I personally make a lot of noise while playing games (muttering curses, saying "oof" when I'm hit, rocking the chair back and forth, click click click click click click(, so not so sure this would help me out!

Sony MDR V250 model or better is a good headphone set (not a cup ear muff style). You want to get shielded cable no matter what Headset you deside to get, which is a must on a computer no hum,s static from electical lamps or usp.
