You're probably right. I would NEVER recommend GoDaddy over NameCheap.
 
Ross, why Namecheap > GoDaddy? Most of my domains are registered with GoDaddy. hmm, isn't namecheap ICANN certified?
 
Purely personal preference.

AFAIK NameCheap.com is not ICANN accredited but they are an eNom domain registrar which is ICANN accredited, confusing I know.
