Good grief, are there any Flash based mp3 players that are NOT plagued with problems?

I have reviewed so many of these I cannot keep them straight.

Any one have a moderately priced, well functioning, easy 2 use nice sounding mp3/wma file player they can recommend?

I'd second iRiver.

I have a cheap MSI that I like also, but it certainly isn't perfect, and not something that I'd give to my wife.

Rio Sport Forge costs around $60, depending on capacity, (picked up the 128MB for 30 on eBay), is very easy to use (just plug in usb and drag-and-drop music), has built in FM tuner, is lightweight, and has SD expansion slot (added 512MB to mine). Music quality is good, even with 64Kbps WMA. Comes with arm band (so you can use while working out). Comes in a variety of metallic colors.
