I have a shared graphic card at present and now like to upgrade it so that I can play high resolution games. Can someone suggest which models I should look into. Price should be moderate. :D

In order to help you properly people will need to know:

- The rest of your systems specs i.e. CPU, RAM, MB, PSU etc
- The resolution you play at i.e. define 'high'
- Games you like to play i.e. Older, newer, fps, rts, mmo...
- More accurate price range i.e. define 'moderate'

Then wait for the hopefully useful and unbiased advice to flood in :)

Like the above poster said, you should clarify some infos in order to get the best advices you can have!

But without knowing your system and the games you play, i'd suggest, in the range of 120-150$ cards, the Radeon HD 5770 1gb.

Nice card with lots of features, directX 11 support, enough power so you can play most games in high resolutions and settings (linked with the resolution you play).

You'll need a motherboard with a PCI-Express slot for any new cards you'll get.

As mentionned, post some specs and infos and you'll get a bucket of good advices!

I don't have a PCI Express Slot and I am not very sure about my configuration. It has AMD Athelon 64X2 Dual Core and the motherboard is from nVidia.

Eh no PCI-e slot? Is it a nettop style PC? Go start->run and type "msinfo32" and see what the System Manufacturer and System Model say..
