I swapped the cpu in my moms comp from a 3100 sempron to 2600 sempron, and in the process voided all the DRM licenses on her music. Absolute BS :frown:

This is probably a thread for operating systems or general hardware unless you are jsut here to bit*h and moan and not to actually figure out the fix to the problem.

That's what people get for buying DRM music.

AllOfMP3.com FTW!

I'm just here to bitch. Although I despise Apple, it looks like I will be converting my mom to itunes.
Trading one DRM for another. That's a great idea.

Well after some chat with microsoft tech, I got a few hotfixes that seemed to fix it. I will now be converting it all to mp3 🙂

I spent half of last night converting the wifes downloads from walmart.com from wma to mp3 so she could listen to them while working out. Next time when she is not around I will just fire up the bitorrents and get them that way.

Its amazing that the music over the internet thing is still run so crappy.
After seeing the sheer stupidity of RIAA and the music industry in general, it's not amazing at all.

The music industry is trying to convince people to replace something that they could use anywhere with something they can only use in one place and charging more for it. People want to DL music for convinience. Making using it a complete PITA isn't convinient.
