2000 Pontiac Sunfire! It was a bright yellow 2 door, with big chrome rims, a chrome fart pipe and big red Type R stickers just behind each door. Ugh! What were they thinking? I wish I had a picture to post. It was just so hideous.

It should be a federal offense to sell or distribute and/or use Type R stickers. ;)

its got a park bench wing, and also a few pieces of plastic hanging off the body that don't quite fit so the plastic is bent :)

When I bought my Civic, just for kicks, I asked some of the sales people just what "Type R" meant in reference to Hondas/Acuras. Every last one of them flat-out denied that Type R even existed. When I asked why they had Type R badges in a case in the parts department, they could not produce an answer.

It was pretty amusing.

The R in Type R means Race. It's the "Race" version of a car. There are Civic Type Rs, just not in the USA. The Honda Civic SiR is a model in Canada but it's the Si model in the US. The only true "type R" model Honda ever released in America is the Integra Type R (off the top of my head right now). If you see it on an Integra, then it ain't rice, unless it's a fake TypeR.

The one and only real Type R

They weren't bad. 190 hp, 2500 lbs., ~30 mpg, fun to drive, good handling, 6.5 sec 0-60, and right at 15.0 sec @ 95 mph 1/4 mile (or better?).

It wasn't bad... nice revvy little motor. It was bad when idiots slapped on turbo kits and NOS on a high compression 4 banger and took it drag racing and asked themselves why it was still slow. No sh
!t Sherlock.

So, if I understand the concept, I'f I slap four or five 'Type-R' and 'NOS' stickers on my sable, and put a really big cardboard tube over my exhaust to trick the engine into thinking thats it is bigger, then my 1991 Sable will become a nine second car, right?
