Nothing too expensive. I have an SD870 IS camera which I love, and I use it for work, but I'm thinking of getting a replacement camera since I don't want anything to happen to it. Pretty much everything about it I like except that sometimes it doesn't go wide enough.

I'm not interested in huge MPs, but definitely want IS. A wide lens would be nice. Prefer a lithium battery - or at least it needs to come with its own good charger. Needs to be able to use SD cards.

Size is not a constraint. Low light performance would be nice. Do not want something that requires lens changes.

Suggestions?

SD870 is 28mm, which by point & shoot standards is considered wide (or maybe standard now). I would suggest the Nikon P300 at $283 - a little wider at 24mm, f/1.8 aperture for good low light performance, 12MP, has stabilization, uses SD and Li batteries.

The other good low-light performer at 24mm is the Panasonic DMC-LX5. It's $400 but is a step-up in picture quality.
