Good gaming joystick

see, the logitech freedom is what I have NOW, but it doesn't work that well anymore... should I just buy another one?

Try this one out.

Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Twist Handle USB PC Joystick

It is $16.99 plus $2.95 shipping and is almost sold out. Most joysticks, wheels and the like are not worth fixing. You can take it apart and see if something is lose inside and maybe you can use a hot glue gun to repair it. If parts are worn or broken then you will find that most of these manufactures do not sell replacement parts.

Stumbled across this a little bit ago and was getting ready to order it with a email from them that would give me free shipping...
getting ready to check out and was reading info on the product and found out that it is a factory refurb...only $17 but kinda skeptical....

I have the Logitech Dual Action gamepad, I'm going to try the analog controls with the planes and choppers in BF2.

just so you know, its used

I will vouch for my saitek cyborg 3D gold, the ability to adjust the joystick to fit your hand perfectly, and using the software you can set the buttons exactly the way you want, its got a great feel to it and the new revision (Cybirg Evo) is probably just as good or better (there is a wireless version of it too).

I loved my Saitek Cyborg Evo for Battlefield1942, Sturmovik II, Pacific Fighters, etc. I havent used it with BF2 yet though. Great stick for 30$

i just bought the saitek cyborg for bf2. is there any way to invert the controls? i'm not used to up being down, and down being up. if you get what i mean. left is right and right is left. it's confusing the heck out of me. i fly better with the keyboard...

or is this something common with flying games that i just have to learn?

it's confusing when i go from the ground fighting using the mouse and hop into a helo and the directions are inverted.

I think thats supposed to be changed in the game settings

Im gonna get a joystick too, just for some info, can you tell me why you got the saitek over the logitech?🙂

i couldnt find the change in the option menu. they only allow you to invert the mouse settings, but not the joystick.

I bought the saitek because i read a few people saying logitech doesnt last long, or after awhile the joystick starts to not center and move a certain direction or the buttons sticking.

i got the saitek cyborg evo, which is wireless and was on sale from woot.com, that was the main reason. also i'm suprised how good the support is. they have xp 64 bit drivers and software for this joystick, i don't know if logitech has that.
