Good gaming headset?

I dont know much about headsets, so, err--fill me in

1. Comfortable to wear
2. Doesn't cost an arm and a leg

The only headset maker I've found that covers these bases fully is Plantronics. They make great headsets for use with phones, I can only imagine they're just as good with computers too.
