I'm looking for a good, cheap, light, and fun 2 seater jet ski that I could tow with a v6 honda accord(has a hitch). I want it to have enough power to pull around someone on a wakeboard..

Any recommendations?

You'll need more than 2 seats to tow somebody on a wakeboard.

In order to tow somebody, you need to have another passenger on the back watching the person being towed. If you and the spotter use 2 seats, where will the wakeboarder sit when he gets off the wakeboard?

Does anybody still ride the old style single person standup Jet Skis anymore?

yea, true, that makes sense do they make 3 seaters?

They make four seaters.

;)

Anyway, in NH at least, there are a bunch of laws specific to personal watercraft (PWCs), but the law only defines a PWC as having one or two seats. Therefore, if you've got 3 or 4 seats, you follow the same rules as boats.

:)

They make 5 seaters too. (Or did)

If you are considering towing anyone or any thing behind I would seriously consider something other then a seadoo. Towing puts a lot of strain on the impeller which ultimately leads it to snapping, I've lived on a lake for half of my life and I know plenty of people who have spent several hundred dollars on their jetski/seadoo/waverunner because they were pulling people with it. The only time it's ok is if you are pulling a little child. When you add a wakeboard into the mix (It takes quite a bit of power from anything to pull someone up out of the water) it's only going to add on to the problem. If you get a seadoo/jetski/waverunner, I recommend you just use it to drive around the lake, nothing more.

Yes, people still do use the standups... I think they are more fun then the sit downs.

Not to mention, most seadoos/jetskis/waverunners are money pits. They're nice when they're new, but if you looked at used ones, you'll see many that say need rebuilt engine or recently rebuilt engine, why? because they are quite unreliable.

If you want to pull some one might want to look into getting some of the small boats from SeaDoo like the Speedster Wake that is make for wakeboarding....but these tend to be more expensive that a typical jet ski

you're not going to be able to pull a wakeboarder with a ski. My friend builds performance race ski's and they are twice as slow with 2 people, and I don't even want to imagine what it's like while towing...

By any means, pulling a boarder with a ski is a bad idea.

We have a 2002 Seadoo GTI-LE. Never had a problem with it other than a clogged fuel filter.

Jet Ski's are like boats and Rv's.. You buy them. Then you pour money into them. And once every few months you take them out for some fun.. then they break. need work and you pour more money into it. Then it's winter. You wait for summer. Take it out and it's broke from sitting the winter. You pour some more money in it. Take it out runs great.. then the cycle starts again.
