So, what is a good free web host, that allows things like PHP, and has a decent amount of space.

Me and some other people are wanting to make a fansite, but don't want to pay for anything. Any suggestions for some good ones?

Damn safeway, you've beat me to these threads for two days in row. OP, If you PM me I'll stick you on the free AT server, but you need to supply your own domain name!

I'm providing the hosting free of charge, but I don't want to get into a mess of subdomains so you're responsible for the domain name. They cost ~$9 a year and the two most popular registrars are namecheap.com and godaddy.com :)

As for the domain registrar, I use and suggest Namecheap.

Wow, but why would he do that for a stranger like me? Lol.

This sounds like a little to good to be true.

Dude... seriously... you can get decent hosting for like...$20/YEAR...

Just remember, all the free sites have a catch... and they usually suck.

I've been pushing KnownHost on a few people, since I've been with them for a while and have had no problems.

Then last night, my VPS had full hard drives. I was locked out of CPanel, no FTP, etc. I submitted a trouble ticket and not more than 30 minutes later, everything was fixed. Mind you, this was at 3:30am KnownHost time.

That said, KnownHost rocks.

Email me at eric.kofman @ telnap.com. I can't find any PMs from you, but the stupid PM bug may have something to do that with.

Will DeviousTrap allow me to use programs like Dreamweaver, and upload my own html files instead of having to use a control panel type thing?
