Who would pay $125 for a 6-foot HDMI cable when Monoprice has one for $7? I can guarantee that a Monster cable (especially a full digital one like HDMI) will not deliver a picture that's worth 20 times the cost of Monoprice's cable.

You'd be better off putting that money into high priced power cables. That REALLY improves the quality of your sound and video!

Man, that's nothing! Monster is a bigger ripoff than that. You only looked at the 400 series... check out the M series (AKA 1000 series)

$170 for 4 feet

but you can save money! The 8 foot cable is only $220!
 
saying it isn't 20 times as good isn't fair. Of course, the difference in quality isn't justified by the price either way
 
You mean that I got ripped off when I bought that $400, 6 foot cable the salesperson told me would help let through more voltage and give me better picture(i've actually heard this from a sales person) lol
 
I dunno, I swear I can tell a difference. All my Bose speakers have been upgraded with Monster cable and I can definitely hear the difference. I only spent $85 for my 6 foot RCA plugs. The nitrogen-injected oxygen free wires were a bit extra, but I think it was worth the $200 I spent. They were custom made in front of me too which was pretty awesome.

I make it a requirement that everytime I shop at BB I stand near the cables and tell at least 2 people about Monoprice and how Monster cables are a rip off.
