Good FPS mods right now?

Back when Quake was out, I thought the mod scene was huge, active, and very dedicated. I followed so many mods and messed around making levels. They really had a ton of simple good online fun.

I own BF1942 (DC is OK-thats it), HL, HL2, UT2k4 and some older FPSs. Anyone have any good mod recommendations that are still popular for any of those games? Or even for older games like UT, Quake 1 & 2 which I also own just as long as there is a decent amount of players on the servers.


For example, it looks like Firearms (played a bit of this when it was released) site is dead, CTF for HL is dead, and Action Half-life (Action Quake 2 was great) seems pretty empty.

Get DC Final for BF1942, i have heard good things about Eve of Destruction also

Forgotten Hope for BF1942 is the way BF1942 should have been. It is my favorite BF mod. Point of Existence for Battlefield Vietnam is so good, that it's worth buying BF Vietnam just to play it. That's another one to keep in mind. Check out www.planetbattlefield.com for more. I'm not much of a DC fan.
