Good FPS games

I've been reading up on the reviews of Left 4 Dead 2 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and I'm a little disappointed. The games seem to have gotten very good ratings but Left 4 Dead 2 doesn't seem to have much more of anything than Left 4 Dead (not 50-60 dollars worth anyway). For CODMW2, the situation is worse with the multiplayer being very very complained about due to lack of dedicated servers and the like.

So I suppose for now I'll stick to my tried and true BF2142, CS:S, UT, Crysis Wars, Left 4 Dead, and COD4.

I did recently buy Red Faction Guerilla which I'm pretty excited about.

What do you guys think, any other games worth buying? Is TF2 any good or am I going to just end up playing my other games instead.

Well you can try TF2 free this weekend. There really aren't any good new FPS's out right now.

TF2 belongs in the tried-and-true FPS list. You have most of the rest covered.

I'm not sure what it is but...I just really can't get into Crysis Wars...like it's so much prettier than the other games and yet...it's just not fun for some reason.

I'm psyched for BF1943/Bad Company 2 though...

Also, I don't have time to invest in a complex game. I just want to get something that looks pretty and I can rush right in and start blowing stuff up or killing people

There is a mod for Red Orchestra that the community went to. It's pretty good.
