Good FPS game multiplayer?

Never seen the movies. As to the games, Quake 3 and 4, UT, UT2004, COD, MOHAA.

I really like the Battlefield series. The games get lots of flak for being buggy (they are) and for having ads (BF 2142 is supposed to, but I haven't seen any), but I enjoy playing them with friends.

BF2 is pretty good, but sometimes you will get so frustrated that you will feel like destroying your computer and never play games again.

The last time I truly had fun in a multiplayer FPS was Halo for PC. Looking forward to Halo 2 on PC. Before that it was CS - Source, UT, Quake 3 and Tribes. There is nothing out now that holds my interest.
