Good, FAST USB KVM?

Hey all,

Used an Cybex Ps2 KVM for years with a Desktop & Laptop & it worked great - when I switched it would be almost instant... I got a new laptop that doesn't have PS2 ports, so I had to switch to a USB KVM - went with a Belkin.

With the Belkin it takes 3-5 seconds for the devices to be recognized once I switch... kind of annoying since I switch back and forth a lot. Is there a faster USB kvm on the market, or is that just a limitation of the USB protocol?
